Quality Policy Sark Cables is committed to manufacture and supply electrical and communication cables and wires conforming to the requirements of the customer. We shall strive to produce defect free cables which ensures safety and durability. We endeavour to continually improve the quality management system and the product quality. We use only electrolytic grade conductors to ensure maximum saving on energy consumption.

Testing

In addition to the tests on incoming raw materials, the cables manufactured at SARK will undergo stringent tests like, Routine test, Acceptance test, Type tests and Special tests which will ensure that Electrical , Mechanical and Thermal properties of cables are up to the standards.

Some of the major Testing process conducted as per IS / International Standards are

• Conductor resistance and High voltage tests
• Annealing test for copper conductor
• Tensile and Wrapping test for Aluminium conductors
• Insulation resistance test
• Tensile and Elongation, Thermal Ageing
• Loss of mass and Shrinkage test
• Heat shock and Hot deformation test
• Cold bend and Cold impact test
• Hot set test & Water absorption test for XLPE
• Torsion and Zinc coating test for armouring materials

• Oxygen Index test
• Temperature index
• Halogen acid gas emission test
• Flame retardant test
• Smoke density test
